Steele played a great game on Saturday, and I think he should probably start the rest of the season.
I just watched the FSN highlights on cyclones.com. That last TD he threw to Jarvis West was a big time throw. He threw the ball from the 30 yard line with some real zip on it. That is a throw that Barnett simply cannot make.
When Rhoads says that Steele can make all the throws you would need a QB to make, that is what he is talking about IMO.
Can you imagine his stats (and the team score) if we hadn't had so many drops early in the game?
That was a prime example. Even the ball to the sidelines from the opposite hashes that Horne tried to make a tough catch on is a ball Barnett just can't throw because he doesn't have enough arm.
The TD pass in the back of the endzone that he floated between the defender and the back of the endzone was a throw he couldn't make last year. He actually had some touch on the ball. :wideeyed:
