    Jarvis

First of all, I'm really happy to see Jarvis West finally have a breakout game. I've been waiting for this kid to explode onto the scene ever since I saw him return his first kickoff last year.

Second, I just love how he goes about his business. All three touchdowns he scored, he simply turned around, gave the ball to the official, and jogged back to his teammates/the sideline. Maybe it's the Cam Newton hate coming out, but Jarvis is the exact type of player I want to see at Iowa State.

    Re: Jarvis

Do you think he becomes the go to guy from now on (especially with Lenz questionable), or do you think it was a one time thing and he goes back to being non-relevent like he's been most of the year? I've been waiting for him to become the impact player we all think he can be, and I hope that time is finally here

    Re: Jarvis

I sure hope he does. I have been worried about our receiving corps going into next year, with Lenz, Horne, Tiller, and Young graduating. I am less worried after the past couple games, though. Bundrage, Gary, and West have shown flashes at times, and can fill in fine, I believe. I just think whoever our QB is has to remember what kind of receiver West is. He's not going to be able to go up and fight for many balls a la Blythe, but he'll catch the ball, and if he can break a tackle, he's tough to catch from behind.

    Re: Jarvis

A few weeks ago I started a thread wondering if he was going to show up any time soon. Congratulations to the guy, and I hope he keeps up the good work.

I thought it was crazy that he had a 3 TD game. But then I realized it was the first 3 TD's of his career!

    Re: Jarvis

Jarvis is one of the quietest, nicest guys on the team. Very mellow off the field and quietly goes about his business on the field. It's good to have guys like Jarvis around.

    Re: Jarvis

On one hand, it drives me crazy not knowing whether WRs are going to show up for a particular game. On the other hand, I love the way guys seem to be stepping up. Makes it rather tough for the defense to key on any one of them.
