Favorite. Cyclone. Ever.
What a warrior.
Parents, this guy is what you should tell your kids to try to be.
I'm glad he is doing this for himself, he has given ISU everything he's got and more. It's time he gets healthy and makes millions in the NFL. Thanks for everything Jake!
An impact player from Day 1. Ended his college career with a win -- and not too many D1 players can say that. Bought into Coach Rhoads' philosophy immediately and like a poster stated before, helped shaped and change the culture of ISU football. A big time player who will be missed big time.
The next guy will have some big shoes to fill, but I believe in this coaching staff and I believe in the players. So, next man in and let's get that sixth win over OU.
Incredibly selfless move to play this weekend, he is truly All In.
ONE TOUGH SOB
AND A TRUE LOYAL SON TO ISU!
Jake it was my sincere pleasure to get to witness such a class act both on and off of the football field! You have been what I picture in my mind every Iowa State University embassador to be. I wish you a speedy and full recovery, and a fast return to the football field. It has been an honor to watch you play.
Lets just play in a late bowl game and have him back! Like...idk...January 1st?
Well that's that, I guess. Going to be a lot tougher row to hoe without #20 in there the last 4 weeks.
I don't think a person can say enough about Jake and his impact on Iowa State. He's simply a legend and a reason why this program is becoming a big time one.
I'm glad that he was able to go out there Saturday and realize that it was his last time. I'm glad I got to see him play once again and really watch him.
Now we got to go out and really watch AJ these last 2 home games....he's another one that we better enjoy while we have him.
I am broken..who steps in and starts in his place?
I can't believe he played last Saturday...tough as hell. I'm glad Cyclone Nation got to watch one more game with him on the field.
Thanks for everything, Jake...you are a Cyclone great!
It was pretty clear yesterday that he was done when he tweeted something like "Awesome that game film ended and paused with this picture" and it was him and Klein coming off the field.
An amazing kid.
