If anyone knows Jake personally, you'd come to the conclusion that all he'd want is for ISU to win. Not all the attention from embarrassing chants, etc.
I think Jake would probably like anything that pumps up the crowd and helps the team get fired up for a win against Oklahoma. The level of emotional support that he has brought to the team and the crowd is amazing. This sort of thing is just the natural result of the impact he has had on our program.

Re: How can we acknowledge Jake on saturday
Two touchdowns, two pat's and two field goals. Shutout OU. 20-0.

Re: How can we acknowledge Jake on saturday
A big part of the idea here isn't placing one guy above the team to indicate that the team doesn't matter. It's indicating the massive respect that we have for that one guy. He's earned some kind of respectful tribute. Just a matter of figuring out how to do it.

Re: How can we acknowledge Jake on saturday
In all seriousness, Jake wouldn't want us to treat him any differently now than if he were still healthy. I think he feels the love from cyclonenation. Let's just go out and get a W.

The man came to practice last year after he was hurt before the spring game. He played with injuries almost all last year and the last two games. He's all about the team, which is why he's a captain. I think he'd say to save it for the team, not for him. There will be plenty of time to cheer for him on Senior day in a few weeks. We need to be in the Jack early and seated to cheer for that...

I don't think a chant is necessary. #20 signs would be cool though.

It is going to be impossible for the crowd not to erupt when he comes on the field for the coin toss.

Where is labontefan31, and why doesn't he have a Jake Knott highlight video put together already?

Is it too out there to consider having the number "20" on all of the team's helmets, or is that reserved for dead guys?
And how about big colored squares held up to create a giant "20" in the stands. I presume since we're playing OU that gold may be the recommended color of attire. So some big cardinal squares might just make an impressive "20" for everyone - and ABC tv viewers - to see. Talk about the PR that could also give the university - we could make Sports Center...
And... let's win the game - I'm sure Knott would consider that an honor in itself! Just win the damn game.
