Re: Paul Rhoads on Jevohn Miller
Jevohn will be just fine, Jake will be coaching him up as the game goes on. I'd be more conerned about pass coverage for him than anything.
It will be a great day for Cyclone Football.

Are they looking at Luke as a traditional linebacker or more of the nickel position?
Re: Paul Rhoads on Jevohn Miller
LK21!
Not quite the same ring to it as JK20, but I can run with it.

Second the motion on renaming to AJ and Jake!
WIL is usually the 2nd LB though...you would take your SAM or Strong side LB out for a Nickel package and bring in a DB.
Here's a link where it's explained much better than I can..

Yeah, our LBs drop into pass coverage quite a bit in Wally's system. That's why JK and AJK have been relied on so heavily. I think Wally asks a lot from his LBs.
Jevohn and Jeremiah will both need to step up this weekend.

Which is good, because Miller moving to MLB begs the question of who the heck will play WLB next year.
My guess is that Jevohn plays WLB next year, and moves to MLB his senior season with Knott taking over at WLB.

I agree, but is that a product of personnel or system though?

I don't think Jevohn needs any more coaching than he is getting. It sounds like the coaches are comfortable with where he is at physically and in the film room, but they aren't confident in him translating that when he is on the field and the bullets are flying in real time.
Not that it is undexpected, but ISU has enough depth now that players don't have to learn on the job as much as they used to.
Re: Paul Rhoads on Jevohn Miller
Watch Miller just be a straight up gamer. Bigger the game the Bigger he plays. Miller 1.5 Tackles for Loss and 12 tackles against OU this weekend!!! Brining the Boom since 2012...............
