What a great piece. They don't seem to at all take into account that he has a chance to play on Sundays, though.
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr
The only thing I didn't like about the segment was that they kept referring to it as career ending. I truly believe we'll see Jake at the next level, and it would have been nice for them to mention that. Appreciate Jake's man tears and emotion. Obviously he truly loves the game.
I'll say it again. A win this week will create an epic speech by CPR that will be one of the highlights of the year for college football. It's an incredibly difficult task given the historical gap between ISU and OU, but to quote last year, there's something special in the air right now. I fully expect the defense to play as well as can be expected. I'm hoping our roller coaster ride at QB will remain at a high this weekend.

I'm going to guess he was talking about ending his college career
Assuming this as well. It is a college football centric show after all.
