I used to feel that way all the time. I rarely feel that way anymore, but admit I didn't think we had a prayer against OSU last year. It's just the old cyclone in me covering my nuts from being kicked too many times when I get my hopes up. The loss of jk20 and the fact that OU is smarting from the ND loss has me really doubting this game, but that's a far cry from knowing we have no shot.

this is a good point. I feel like under Mac we would win the early games and depending on the BIG XII south rotation we had a shot at a bowl... but after the game at texas my attitude has tilted more (slightly) optimistic... like why not today? CPR and JP are effectively changing the culture IMO

During the McCarney years I can remember when playing OU, KSU, NU etc...people saying "if we can just avoid the initial onslaught and survive the 1st quarter, then maybe...". Even a few years ago when a game got away from us, I was surprised it happened. The last two years, I didn't even consider it a possibility. OU may have the better talent, but I believe the team and mentality that is in place now at ISU, has only demon to excersie and that is beating OU. This program and team knows it can and will compete with anyone week in week out, which was not always the case.

I a super excited about game tomorrow...it is constantely on my mind. I just don't understand why I am so excited. I get this way the Monday of every week. I KNOW that we can't win....I am just excited that we are gicing EVERY team a good game. K STATE we gave a good game. TCU...a good game. IOWA....Tech...well...anyway...I am super pumped...but know we won't get the most points. Will we win...win in the hearts? YES! Any way that you look at it...I feel we win every game this year....EXCEPT tech.
