    Texas is hunting for a coach

    I was out of state on a trip and a nice guy from Texas and I starting talking Big 12 football. We were having a great conversation and he pops in and says;
    'that Paul Rhoads is a hell of a coach, think he'll leave Iowa State? Mack is done.'

    Immediately I jump in 'we put a huge buyout on that contract, just stay away.'.....

    He said, 'don't worry, we'll sell some oil and bowl in that South End Zone for you,'

    ......dammit.......1) they a loooooaaaaded. 2) interesting trade....

    Aaaaarrrrgghhh! One of the guys that works for me is a UT grad and was JUST in my office talking about this same thing! I said, "Rhoads won't leave ISU". He said, "Do you understand how much money the UT job is worth? Rhoads would go in a heart beat, and we want him. Can you imagine what he'd do with UT-type talent?" To which I said, "**** you! Get out of my office!"
