and this OU games proves it. They just flat out have better rated players that have a way higher ceiling than our guys. OU's game plan was perfect. Just wear us the hell out and it did that. There d=fense with a bunch of 4 and 5 star recruits on the field made it so we could not run, pass, or throw. There offense made our defense look bad.
I am really nervous about this years recruiting class. It looks like a Dan McCarney type class the last two years he was coaching. Not a lot of kids with other BCS offers and commiting to us because we were the only big program to offer them.

I think most people agree stars matter. They are better athletes and that help. As long as you have a DECENT coach.

You still need good coaching.. You can't just run them out there. If you have good coaching and high upside players then you will win. Look at Bama. they get the best players every year. The highest rated guys and good coaching and they win. Texas right now is bad coaching. That is the bottom line.

Get out of it if you have to make it more than that. So if that's the problem then shouldn't we fire Rhoads and bring in a coach that can bring in recruits with stars?
