Re: The 2013 football recruiting class in CPR's opinion
I for one love our recruting along the defensive front, so much so I am thinking we wont miss a beat when McDonough, Nelson, Magitt, Simon, and Laing are gone. I tell what is gone are the days of recruiting a Rashawn Parker. There will be a legitamate B12 defensive line here for years to come, these dudes that are redshirting are going to be huge. They are going to be athletic too. MCDonough's has at least 1 replacement in every class, starting with Brandon Jensen and going to Bevins etc. I look for Pompey to contribute next year with everyone else. The LB's will be tough as nails because that is the foundation that Jake and AJ have built, giving less than everything you have will not be tolerated. The D-backs cont to be good with freshmen starting to contribute some. Even though Cliff Stokes got beat alot , he never had his doors blown off he was very close to the receiver every time. It took a focused Landry Jones to get the job done on him. Defensively we are light years ahead of any time in the last 15 years, including 2005.
Offensively, some more physicality is needed up front, but those guys are possibly redshirting so not far away. Bundrage looks like a B12 receiver, I really like what I have seen out of him these last 2 games.

Its the defense and offensive line that will make us a championship team... period.

This is all good info. Seems many here are more informed then myself. I guess I am just concerned when I see all these other teams in conference getting what seems to be better talent than us. I have no doubt we have one of the best coaching staff out there in Rhoads and Wally, but one can't help but worry about other teams upside vs our own.
