I was considering throwing this on the other Snyder post right now.... But, do you think if Snyder wins a national championship this year that he retires and if so what does that do to kstates program next year? Has he talked about retiring at all?

His son will take over whenever the transition occurs.
I guess I will probably be told to google, but what role does the son play now? Is he highly regarded in the role he plays now? I am really hoping Kstate falls off again, the last few years have been heartbreakers.
Ron Prince 2.0 anyone?
Associate Head Coach/Special Teams Coordinator
18th Season
Former All-American punter and long-time staff member Sean Snyder is in his second season as the Wildcats' Associate Head Coach/Special Teams Coordinator and Director of Football Operations.

Just a wild guess on him taking over.
I think he may retire regardless of a NC, some ksu fans seem to think that. He probably wants to leave with the cupboards full this time?
If only there were some way to see what happens when Snyder retires from Kansas State...I bet they'll name the stadium for him...wait...he's too humble...they'll name it for his family...then I bet they suck...I've never been one that's prone to premonitions, but I feel it strong with this one.
:spinny:
Didn't he just accept a 10 year contract extension recently?
There will never be a post Snyder era at KSU. Once Bill, um, expires... they'll just switch his battery out, plug him back in, oil his gears, give him a new pair of glasses and shorts, and continue to trot out his zombie bones year after year. And this is what they should do because he is a hell of a coach and they'll never find another one quite like him.
That would stop him from going to another school which he wasn't going to do anyway. If he wants to retire it won't stop him from retiring. They would just give him some sort of fluff title - Head Coach Emeritus or Assistant Athletic Director of Student Athlete Development - and let him finish his contract under it. I don't think Sean is quite seasoned enough to take over so as much as I would like for him to go away I doubt that he will pull the plug just yet. I think he really wants his son to get a shot at the job. I hope that works out almost as well as Pat Knights stint at Tech.
The point is no one really knows what is going on inside that head. It is anybody's guess what he will do.
I wish we had hired Bill Snyder instead of that Dead Beat Jimmy Dean Walden.
BIGGEST MISTAKE ever made by the Ia State Athletic Director.
I have to give credit to K-State for being a lot smarter than us.
