Maybe I'm stretching a little to compare Knott and Klein to Greenway at this point but I guess I'm looking at the potential and work ethic of these guys. They have the talent to do it but of course they need to get in the right system and after that I'll leave it up to them and how hard they work which is why I think they'll be very successful.

Not the brightest bunch around here sometimes. For Kirby to leave early, he would have to be...actually nevermind, I'm not even going to try. A punter/kicker would not leave early and it would make zero sense for a team to draft a kicker/punter who has left early. They are the most replaceable position in the NFL.

Knott and Klein will live and die by their 40time/combine results. They've proven almost everything they can on the field. Could be honestly as high as first or second round (if they do phenomenal) or both go undrafted if they do poorly.

He would gain a degree. If there is a position where you would definitely want to finish your college degree it would be kick/punter. I don't think they get paid that much and you may never make it to the leauge. Sorry, players don't leave school early hoping to be picked up as undrafted free agents.

I read that, and this, as he is good enough right now for an NFL team. There aren't a lot of athletes, let alone any at ISU (especially a punter) that are ready to leave college a year early. Don't get me wrong, I really do believe that Kirby will find himself on an NFL roster someday, but it absolutely stupid to think it would be next year.

I hope Jantz can at least make it to a training camp. He has all the ability, and hes very accurate. He could have a sky high completion percentage if he had reliable WR's. But honestly not many NFL people are going to be watching much film of Iowa States offense this year sad to say.

If Kirby was to leave early he would be getting the worst advice from people he trusted. Only a fool or a money hungry leach would advise a punter or kicker to leave school early unless he was guaranteed a high draft pick. I think he will be punting in the nfl because of his incredible ability to place the ball close to the goal line. I also thought Ryan Donahue from Iowa was a sure bet to make it in the pros so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

Being a competent college player is not a pre-requisite if you have size and arm strength, which Jantz does. I don't think anyone is saying that Jantz's play makes him NFL worthy, but the NFL doesn't really care if you're a good college QB or not.

Yup. Not a lot of people thought Josh Freeman was good enough to sniff an NFL roster, now he's a starter. And I don't think anyone would have called Ryan Tannehill as a first-round draft pick at any point during the season last year.
