KU isn't going to be an easy win? No sh@t?? If you ever thought it would be, you have had your head up your ***** all year. I just hope they manage to beat tech because I really don't want to be the team they break their 19 game skid on

There was really no point in playing Jantz after he got benched the first time this year. Yet ISU decided to do it anyway and created a mid-season QB competition/controversy that looks to have screwed up the confidence of both SJ and JB.

I feel sorry for both SJ and JB. There is apparently very little QB coaching being done, or if there is, it is ineffective. Not going to bide well for getting talented QBs to ISU in the future.

And do you know how KU is beating TT? Running the option, and staying with it. They're beating up TT with the option. Wish we'd have stayed with the run when it was working.

Dude, seriously, LEARN about the game.

Until you do, stay at the kiddie table.

Amazing the defense gives up 600 yards, yet stays in their base look the whole game, and it's fine. They do nothing to make a soph qb that has shown he can be rattled think out there, and it's fine. The d coaches call maybe 8 blitzes in 5000 plays UT ran, and it's. Fine. They allow said shaky qb to stand in the pocket, drink a coffee and eat a ******* sandwich, before he chose a receiver, and it's fine. UT had 200 yards after contact, and it's fine.

The oline played bullfighter today, and it's fine. Our wr's can't win one on one battles, allowing UT to NEVER be afraid to blitz, and it's fine.

But **** Steele Jantz, every problem is because of him, and him alone.

Noone, especially me, thinks he played well today. But the mentally challenged on here blaming everything on him need to learn about the game of football.

I really gotta agree with this guy... the whole team just came out flat... nobody looked good out there... nobody out there had the body language of a hungry ready to win team...

How so? In comparable games played (conference):

SJ - 150 attempts, avg 191 pass yards per game, 56%, 7TD, 7INT, 9 sacks, 2 Fum, avg 30 rush yards, 2.6 YPC, 35 points in the win, lacks leadership, team plays uninspired

JB - 85 attempts, avg 185 pass yards per game, 50%, 6 TD, 3 INT, 1 sack, 0 Fum, avg 38 rush yards, 4.8 YPC, 37 points in win, proven leader, teams plays hard for him ( these go hand in hand BTW)

SR - no snaps, why not?

Statiscally they are pretty even, 221 yards per game for SJ and 223 yards per game for JB. The big differences in JB and SJ are negative plays (sacks and turnovers which kills drives and puts the team in tough positions) and leadership (doesn't show up in any statistic). The one perceive advantage for SJ going in was his ability to throw the deep ball. But, JB has proven to be more accurate at that also.

So, where is your valid proof that we don't have a better option for this team right now. Potential is a big word and without the Baylor game ( worst defense in the FBS), its not even close.

Excuses were put before the OU and UT game.

No one will put blame on the coaches for the mess this year (QB carousel, players not prepared and ready, offensive decline in the run game, no growth in the passing game, players seem to regress, defense can't stop teams or get off the field consistently).

I love what Nick Saban said yesterday. He took full and complete responsibility "for not having his team prepared." That's the job of a coach! If guys are not growing and developing as players, its the coaches fault! But we blame it all on our players.

Are you sure? I thought there were a few that were blaming Mess. I think you could blame him for the development of the QBs and the play calling this season. I think there have even been some that have blamed CPR because he is the one that hired him.

I watched a fair amount of the 1st half of the Alabama and A&M game and I probably would blame Saban too or at least the defensive coaches. We know bama supposedly has a good defense but A&M was able to do what they wanted offensively for most of the first half. I wouldn't think a team should be able to run plays with such ease against an "elite" defense while they are on the road.

Did you watch the Okie State game or was I just imagining JB throwing the ball into the ground and missing every throw?

Agree that bad coaching is 50% of the problem. CPR is to be blamed somewhat for not having his team prepared and the coaches he has hired.

No imagination, it happened. Also JB sliding for a 1st down 5 yds from the marker, Tiller running an 8yd route when he needed 10, a couple floaters over the middle that didn't get picked luckily, the D giving up over 600 yds with a freshman QB at the controls, that apparently was hurt somewhere in the game, finished the game and is now out for the year. Not taking away how bad JB was, but that was a bad all around game.
