Not taking away how bad JB was, but that was a bad all around game. Yeah there's no doubt about how bad we were and you can definitely make arguments for the other units being just as bad. I was just pointing out that JB isn't any better and don't think he is the best option for the team. I just don't think he can make the throws IMHO

SR - no snaps, why not?
Statiscally they are pretty even, 221 yards per game for SJ and 223 yards per game for JB. The big differences in JB and SJ are negative plays (sacks and turnovers which kills drives and puts the team in tough positions) and leadership (doesn't show up in any statistic). The one perceive advantage for SJ going in was his ability to throw the deep ball. But, JB has proven to be more accurate at that also.
So, where is your valid proof that we don't have a better option for this team right now. Potential is a big word and without the Baylor game ( worst defense in the FBS), its not even close. I wish you'd come on and post more often on Overreaction Sundays. I think it forces everybody to remember that our players, prospective-players, and parents read this board too. As fans we use this team as an emotional investment and extension of ourselves. But many forget that their words, and often lack of thoughtfulness, can hurt a lot of people and maybe even recruiting.
I know you've been critical of the coaches at times. Your insight is helpful as another forced point of view for us.

Re: *** Official ISU vs. Texas Gameday Thread ***
My point was simply in response to not having a better option at QB. I was just giving some statistical truths. But the bottom line is we have to score more points. And the facts say, we've scored more points in conference games, not enough just more, on average with JB (20.3 per game) than we do with SJ (18.75). So, one can throw in JB can't make the throws or whatever else they want. But, he finds ways to help us move the chains and get points. Also, he doesn't take the negative plays (sacks and turnovers) which usually give away points and/or field position.
