Yesterday brought me back to some of the bad days in ISU history.

Re: Kansas and West Virginia
I like putting my predictions in terms of percentages. At the beginning of the season I would have put beating KU at 80% and beating WVU at 25%.
Today I'm going with 50% for both.
Help me out ISU stats people - I think that means our chance of winning one and going to a bowl is 75%. I feel pretty good that we will win one of those. Hell if we could pull out both and win a bowl game that means we finish the year 8-5. That is within reach and a strong accomplishment for a team predicted to go 3-9!

Our recruiting is not very good at all, it needs to improve -- WAY too many 2-star recruits (more than half of our signees for 2013). If we can't get 4-star recruits, then at least we need to make 3-star players predominate in our recruiting, and we are not doing that. And it would be difficult to do that without going to a bowl game.

Re: Kansas and West Virginia
The way I see it is even with a 6-6 finish we should get a better bowl than the Pinstripe...Cheer for TCU to finish 6-6 (they play @ Texas and home to OU) and Baylor to finish 6-6 or worse (if they lose to KSU they would need to sweep Tech and Okie St and I don't see that)

Re: Kansas and West Virginia
Baring something weird happening the Big XII will get two teams in the BCS this year (K-State for sure and either Oklahoma or Texas). That'll help our bowl position a lot.

Re: Kansas and West Virginia
KU is going to run, run and run all over us.
getting to 6 wins now will be very difficult.

Similar to the "Lack of Injury" post in week 3, this gave me a feeling of doom and gloom. (sorry, you don't run a contest for something we aren't even eligible for.)

You are going to get told by Judoka you are one of the worst posters on this site even though yesterday was a dose of reality for those that have had their head in the clouds since spring ball. We simply can't score points with either quarterback that has played this season and you have to score points in this league. Yesterday we ran the ball to a tee but we can't throw the ball to keep the defense honest.

At the beginning of the season we were picked to be a 3-win team. We weren't picked to beat Iowa and certainly not TCU or Baylor. The team has come a long way, with a long way to go in just two short weeks.

Same with TCU, although they would have to have a huge upset to beat Texas or Oklahoma...

Re: Kansas and West Virginia
If we can't find a way to finish drives in the endzone we won't win either. No excuse for our offense only putting 7 points on the board. We sputtered once we got into enemy territory every time. Our endzone allergy needs some serious antihistamines.

They'll be above us straight up.
That said. I think the NYC bowl would love to have WV in it to play against a Big East team.

This signature has received the stamp of disapproval from that one guy. -
