Kansas and West Virginia

Anyone else think we have a better chance of beating WVU than Kansas? WVU's D is as bad as Baylor's and it looks like Kansas is starting to put a few things together. Also...WVU @ home; @ Kansas.

No. It's our pass defense that is falling apart right now and Kansas is a running team while WVU is a passing team.

WVU's D is bad, but i'm no longer sure our defense can contain their offense. Plus its not like Texas has a great defense either, giving up 40 points a game to everyone else in conference.

KU is running the ball all over TT today. About 400 yards.

No need to pass the ball when you can run for 400. Hopefully our defense is better than TT's .... i just dont think it is.

We are in big trouble for both of those games. Our O is not playing well and our D can't seem to get it together without Knott. Our D is still okay, despite not really stopping Texas since the first series.. but our O needs the D to play lights out.

This is a good point. Our run defense sucks because we're playing off-kilter. KU is going to come out running because its all they can do. Without threat of the pass, we're looking at a better match up against KU.

The offensive effort we saw against OU would probably win either of the next two games.

Yep. I came out of the Oklahoma game feeling pretty good even though we lost. Today though... wow. We didn't belong on the field.

Without Knott this Defence is Terrible, With KU getting 400 yards against a team that we couldnt beat the future looks like NO Bowl Game This Year.

Oh Well its only Ia State Football....

If we would have played KU and Texas earlier in the season I think that we might have knocked them both off.

Our defense has a better matchup against KU I think, as long as we can tackle Sims. Not being able to tackle Tavon Austin or any other WV player will be a big problem. Offense won't be able to keep up with WV.

We should definitely be able to line up to tee off against the run. Heading into this game, KU was averaging just 161 yards passing. Then 9th ranked pass offense was averaging 53 more ypg.

But their rush offense is damn good, and I didn't like the way Texas was able to run it right down our throats most of the day. We need to shore things up in a hurry, or we could miss a bowl game after starting 4-1.
