Snyder didn't get lucky with Klein and knew exactly what he was getting. He designs an offense around the players he has--to perfection. The old man knows what he is doing

    Ron Prince recruited Klein.

    Re: Observations and apology

Bill Snyder is probably the single best college football coach of all time. I agree we need to stop pointing to him/K-State.

It's like a middle aged couple who has never saved for retirement saying "See that guy in the paper who won the powerball? It can be done without saving"

    Re: Observations and apology

I do not know how to look up previous recruiting classes but I swear I saw KSU had 2 classes in the last 4 or 5 years that were between # 90 and 104. I thought their top class was something like the high 50's.

I sure hope ISU has some more depth at LB, WR and OL next year along with an actual QB that would start another BCS school. Am I asking too much?

Serioulsy, if I hear or read one more person compare us or anyother team to K State I'll lose it. Of course that'll be all I hear from now until old man river retires in 2032.
This is all I can think of right now:

Captain O'Hagan: I swear to God I'm going to pistol whip the next guy who says, " Shenanigans."
Mac: Hey Farva what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy **** on the walls and the mozzarella sticks?
    Farva: You mean Shenanigans?
    Mac: OOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
    Thorny: OOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
[as they hand the Captain their pistols]

We got sucker punched on the Wishbone tribute play. Texas told the sports world that the wishbone was coming. We lined up on defense, yielded a 47 yard pitch back reverse pass play and never recovered. Just like the announcers said several times, we weren't in the game.

    Re: Observations and apology

One thing I have not seen anyone comment about is the fact that our offense is a hold over form the Chizik death era..... Nothing that guy touches doesnt rot away eventually. We need to purge the system (yah I know everyone was running it and it was the hot thing) get rid of the last of chiz'z footprint.

yesterday in the post game show someone was talking with CW about how TX didnt run the read option, that they quick huddled and ran what plays the want it a jet tempo. My light bulb (albeit very dim) went on. WOW what a concept run your own plays instead of letting player that dont understand the system come to the line, try to figure what the hell the d is going to do and then completely change your play to match what is probably a faux line up anyway. Genius.
I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

They dont care for example last week they had a damn party after a loss. Im not gonna mention who was there but there were many key players there. Its a joke im tired of being mediocre and mediocre is an overstatement

Remember Rob Gronkowski after the super bowl? I doubt any of our players do stuff like this. Settle down, I think many are loyal to ISU.

You need to look past number of wins to see progress. Look at the computer rankings over the last few years and you will understand we are making lots of progress under Rhoads
