I think that is why they are kicking off high/short with the new rules. I really wish he would relook at blitzing/disguiesing their coverages more.

If we could find some way, any way, to make defenses pay for blitzing it would really help out our whole offense, passing and running. I don't know if that comes down to scheme or talent though.

I didn't listen but I really need to know, and I'm sure this question was asked... What time do the busses leave and what time will they get back?

Nice show. He talked about Richardson and Rohach, among other things, and mentioned that Duaron Wiliams is still having knee problems. Also talked about maybe leaving six or more in for pass protection the last two games...
We got a new Marshall here in town, and his name's Paul Rhoads, and the times, they is a'changin'.

Good to hear.

I know I'm not the only that wonders what our future is at quarterback, but I can't wait to see these guys in the spring game.

Also he said the three positions for recruiting in terms of importance (and in order) are QB, DLine, CB. He thinks that Sam Richardson and Grant Rohach are both very accurate passers. He also has noticed that teams like to blitz against us approximately 10% more often then they do other opponents. It was a pretty good call in show tonight. the reason for that? it works, has worked, and continues to work against our offense. what do you do when things aren't going well?
A) address the problem. check
B) find ways to solve the problem.................uh......er......hm........still waiting
hopefully the coaches are spending more than 10% of their time tying to solve the problem because teams have found an obvious way to stop our offense and we seemingly have not adjusted yet. that, or the O simply is not executing the coaches' plans to circumnavigate said obstacle. need that to happen for a win this week.

The calls are not filtered. All they do is ask your name and where you are from. At least that is what my experience has been.

I have no stats to back this up but beyond the obvious blitzing tends to work against ISU and DC have plenty of film to see this, I think there may be another thing that contributes to this inflated stat. ISU seems to face 3rd and long quite a bit, more than the majority of the league I would guess. When the O is facing 3rd and 6 or more blitzing and forcing the QB to get rid of the ball and throw to a receiver short of the sticks can be extremely effective at stopping a drive.

Re: Anything special from last nights CPR Call in Show???
Everyone who has watched the Big 12 season has seen the opposing D blitz their faces off against ISU with the exception being Baylor. If you blitz you will stop ISU unless you really suck. The mind blowing thing in this whole situation is why Mess has not done anything to counter against the onslaight(sp) of QB pressure. Its to the point where the definition of insanity might be comming into play with ISU's offensive approach.

Sorry to kill your buzz but Baylor blitzed us the entire game, they just suck at it and we picked it up easily.

Seemed like the running back was picking it up nicely vs. Baylor, whereas were not before. This seems like something specific the O could work on this week that would help in a substantial way -- using the RB to pick up the blitz (White seems best at it, and with him getting healthier each week, that can only - hypothetically.)

Re: Anything special from last nights CPR Call in Show???
So what you are telling me is Kansas is going to also blitz their faces off agsint ISU
