I expect CPR and the team to come out ANGRY. After being pummeled for two weeks in a row, they'll be hungry.
I thought we looked OK against OU at least in the first half, UT we seemed flat. CPR said we were tired and it showed. Its hard to beat a team like UT when you spot them a big lead, almost impossible if they are more talented.
No reason for ISU to "look past" anyone because they havent proven much. Thats not a shot at this team at all just saying that where they are as a group (5-5) looking for eligibility and trying to "take the next step" doesnt allow them to not be 100% focused on the task at hand.
KU doesnt have the balance to burn us with the pass and run (havent shown it so far). This should help that they cant exploit the backup CB like the OU/UT receivers. Stack the box and stop the run ISU wins this game.
I'm looking for CPR to do something early to shock KU, like the onside kick to start the Baylor game, so that we gain the psychological advantage early, even if the play doesn't work great.
If ISU looks past ANY game this year, this is not the game to overlook. Nothing is a gimme.
Go wreck the Jhawks, we need this one
I'm going to be honest. I believe the culture around football is changing here and I was upset with how we performed against UT and OU when in years past I had just written those off as losses. My confidence and what I expect from the team is definitely as high as it has been. That being said, let's not try to pretend that this game doesn't scare the **** out of all of us.
Not scared. Looking forward to us showing that we are the team we are. We have only lost to teams ranked currently in the Top 25. We beat everyone else. This is not a game we "can" we, it is a game we "should" win. And that is what is different about this program. We are now winning the games we "should."
ISU 38-KU 14 (getting a late gimme touchdown).
