They have had a total of 164 passing yards in their last 3 games. Sure they can run the ball, but thats not going to bring you much success in the Big 12 if you cant complement it with a passing game, plus that plays right into ISU defensive strength. They are averaging 18.6 points per game, and ISU's D has had no problem keeping opposition below their average. Their defense is not much better then Baylor's.
If ISU loses this game, it wont be because of KU, it will be because ISU beat themselves.

Plus our offense hasn't exactly lit up the scoreboard against the below aveage defenses we have faced this year. Kansas is playing much better football now than they did at any point under Turner Gill and we barely beat them the last 2 years, plus this is a road game.

Re: ISU put on upset alert by Ubben
Picking ISU to lose a road conference game isnt exactly a crazy pick.

Re: ISU put on upset alert by Ubben
The only way they beat them selves is if the hold a scrimmage other wise another team beats them

If ISU loses this game, it wont be because of KU, it will be because ISU beat themselves. I would say that this defense doesn't have a strength right now. Our run defense has been less that stellar recently.

I don't think KU scores more then 2-3 TDs, and their defense is not good. If ISU can't out score them, I think it would have more to do with ISU then it would with KU

Re: ISU put on upset alert by Ubben
Over the past 50 years I have seen US play some of the worst football on the road at Kansas Univ.
Why I have NO IDEA, even when KU has a lousy team they always seem to find a way to beat us and I wont be surprised if KU wins saturday nite.
I wonder if we will ever get back to going 8-3,8-3 & 8-3 again like we did in 1976...'77 & '78..
Even in '78 we just barely eked out a win at Lawrence when KU only had as I recall One Win but we could only muster a seven point win.
I want to wish CPR and the footballers Good Luck because KU is ready for their biggest win/ superbowl for this year.
Go Cyclones come home win a Victory.

This is the one thing I love about CPR so far, he has proven that no matter what, he doesn't lose to teams he shouldn't lose to. I hate to see it if he brings the talent here to get us favored in most games throughout the season. Next week is a big game though. Favored or not, next week is a game that would be huge for us to win.
