It's been a few weeks since he apparently visited UNI. Anybody from Decorah hearing anything? Hopefully the Jewells are heading to Memphis to get a good taste of what it's like to be part of Cyclone Nation.

With all the summer camps and combines and recruiting services and such, its about impossible for any decent kid to go under the radar.
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

Damn. Why didn't Iowa State offer him? Seemed like a good kid to take a chance on. How much you wanna bet he ends up being a stud player? Reminds me of James Morris.

ISU probably didn't want another LB in this class unless his name is Madison.

    James Morris isn't that good.

lol, James Morris? Ooh, scary! So we missed out on an average to below average linebacker with weasely facial hair? How will we ever survive?

Yeah, James Morris is nothing special at all.

My biggest fear is that this Josey Jewell ends up being another Jake Knott someday. But I'll believe it when I see it. He's a lot smaller than Jake was coming out of HS, and Jake Knott's are once in a lifetime guys.

    Re: Josey Jewell

Jake Knott was not recruited by Chizik. Chizik leaves and Jake Knott is offered by Rhoads.

Josey Jewell was not one of our higher targets. He may turn out to be good. But IMO, I would rather have Madison, Meeks, and Mills. ISU had a spot for him as a preferred walk-on. At this point, it appears that Iowa is giving scholarships to fallbacks. I heard UNI only offered Jewell a partial schollie.
