Josey Jewell
This kid is putting on a show as Decorah is dismantling a good Heelan team in the 3A final. He's a 6-2 210 lb fullback/linebacker that runs like a deer and is all over the field on defense. He even made an incredible catch. Looks like a kid that could be a preferred walk on at least. Anybody from Decorah know if he's getting d-1 interest and any interest from us? And Decorah looks like the best 3A team I've seen play in a long time.

Re: Josey Jewell
He's being looked at by ISU, Iowa, and UNI. His whole family is a big Hawkeye club. If they offer, he'd go. However, a current Hawk/former Viking Brett Van Sloten's dad played for ISU. Always a chance we could get him. Josey ran away from Heelan DB's on a TD run. He is someone that can contribute at a D1 level.

Re: Josey Jewell
I saw him play at state baseball last summer. He's a really solid athlete. Pretty impressive too that he lead Decorah to the state title game in baseball too.

Re: Josey Jewell
Did I hear right. Heelans running back is a wegher? As a freshman he has good size. Jewell looks like a stud though

Re: Josey Jewell
Jewell would be someone to take a shot on and offer.

Re: Josey Jewell
I was a teammate of Josey's for 2 years; in football and track. The kid can run like a gazelle, he's as strong as an ox, and he hits harder than most. He comes from a very athletic and hardworking family. Josey is a great leader as well, he seems to have a 'Jake Knott' type of work ethic and clutchness. He has a motor that never stops. Josey Jewell would be a great benefit to any team no matter what division. The only thing he really needs to work on is his size, all of the tools are there and he has the work ethic to get to where he needs to be. Josey Jewell is a diamond in the rough.

Re: Josey Jewell
Welcome Fratdaddy/Josey Jewell. Hope you come to Iowa State if you are as good as everyone is saying.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

So he is Chuck Norris, Bill Braskie and Paul Bunyon all rolled into one? Got it.

Truth be told, reminds me a bit of Jake Knott. A guy who would be appreciative of an offer, good athelete and good work ethic. Slightly undersized but thats what the new facilities are for. Love these guys.
