Just looking over ESPN and noticed WVU won 5 straight before dropping 4 (soon to be 5) straight. Looks like they may be looking to get bowl eligible during their trip to Ames on the 23rd.
Does this make them more dangerous or will they have given up at that point? Does it matter? They will have a date with KU following our game as a backup to get bowl eligible.
If our two teams are battling to get to a bowl that day, it could make for one hell of an inaugural Riot Bowl.
Everyone was so enamored with their offense and how good it was supposed to be, but they forgot that you also need to play defense in this league. Just about every sports prognasticator out there was picking them or OU to win the title. Whoops...
If both teams were fighting for bowl eligibility than this would make an awesome inaugural game. I really hope that the WVU-ISU is played annually on black Friday. It would make for some very fun days whether its in Ames or Morgantown.
Yeah, I saw that stat last week and made me nervous. Mostly because a preseason top 15 type team rarely looses 5 straight...and the bowl piece. So, HOPEFULLY, tomorrow we get that 6th win and next week we can play for a better bowl AND keeping them out of a bowl. If both WVU and us are eligible, I feel like they may get the call ahead of us for a better bowl.

Regardless of who wins between us if we're both eligible I think that WVU goes to the Pinstripe. We were there last year, it's closer travel for WVU, it's a matchup against one of their former conference mates, etc. It just feels like we'll go to Texas and they'll go to NYC.

Me too. I'm planning on making the trip to Morgantown next year IF it's still on black Friday.
