Am I alone?
I fully expect ISU to lose tomorrow and I can't shake it. The good news is that when I feel this way, except for obvious situations (OU for example), we usually win.
I think I still have a built in defense mechanism for when Lucy pulls the ball away.

Nope, not alone. I expect ISU to lose tomorrow... in fact I'm afraid that we don't even show up and KU wins by double digits.

I expect us to show up and lose a nailbiter. Missed FG or dropped pass near the end.

Do you know why I put up with this 'pitiful job', Mr. Donaghy, why I fetch these folks' lunches and clean up their barfs? Cause they make television. And more then jazz, or musical theater, or morbid obesity, television is the true American artform. -

Re: Am I alone?
Nope. I fully expect to be embarrassed tomorrow to the tune of about 35-3. Throw their record out the window. Here's why:
1. KU is coming off a confidence building performance in Lubbock. ISU rolled over and died last week against TX.
2. Senior day- last chance to get a big 12 win at home.
3. KU students who don't have tix already get in for free for this game. There may actually be a KU crowd that cares.
4. Who's hungrier? ISU needs to go bowling, but KU hasn't won since September.
5. Lenz & Knott were the heart and soul of the team. Losing their on-field leadership has effectively cut the head off the snake.
6. We need to the run the ball, but rather than starting Barnett, Jantz will get the nod and once again render the zone read useless.
I'd love to be wrong, but for these reasons I won't bother watching the game tomorrow. Rip me all you want. I just wished we could have played them a month ago.

Re: Am I alone?
I've been to several road games and never seen a win at one... so i'm not sure what to feel like going into this one.

Re: Am I alone?
I am gut-wrenched over this game right now. Losing to KU would be like finding out you got Chlamydia, and then kicked in the nuts.

I think I still have a built in defense mechanism for when Lucy pulls the ball away. You are not alone. I don't think we're going to lose, but if you would have read any football related thread this week, you would find support. Of course, it's from the same posters who predicted 8-9 wins this year, and are now predicting 5.

Re: Am I alone?
I EXPECT a win, but if KU wins, I will not be shocked. Embarrassed yes, but not shocked.

Re: Am I alone?
Gheez, step back and listen to yourselves. Iowa State is not going to lose to 1-9 Kansas
-
Re: Am I alone?
We've beaten everyone we should have so far this year. No reason to think we shouldn't beat Kansas.
