USA today projecting Iowa State-Syracuse bowl game.

USA Today just put out this weeks bowl projections. They are showing Syracuse vs. Iowa State in the Pinstripe Bowl by both people who are making the picks. I have to go back to see where everybody else is going. When I opened it up I just looked for Iowa State. They don't show projected records but they must be thinking West Virginia will beat ISU because I figured WVU was a lock for the Pinstripe. I'd rather see a warm weather bowl.

I went back and checked the rest of the Big 12 bowls. They have KSU in the BCS title game against Oregon. Fiesta Bowl is Okla. vs. Rutgers/LSU. Cotton Bowl, Texas vs. Fla./Texas A & M. Heart of Dallas Bowl, no Big 12 representative. BWW Bowl, TTU vs. Mich. ST./ Northwestern. Alamo Bowl, Ok. State vs. Stanford. Meineke Car Care Bowl, WVU vs. Purdue or TCU vs. Minnesota. Holiday Bowl, TCU vs. USC or WVU vs. UCLA. Everybody and their sister puts out bowl projections during football season and for all I know these guys could be sitting in front of a computer in their mom's basement spewing this out so I wouldn't put a lot of faith in this. Beat WVU and I think ISU is going to San Diego.

Depends on the days you fly out and back. I searched yesterday and saw anywhere from $430 to 800

Is a 7 point win an "easy" win now?

TCU will not get picked before ISU. They do not travel all that well and ISU beat them handily head to head. ISU is an attractive team. I look for ISU to get the Holiday, Buffalo Wild Wings, or the Meineke Car Care. No way will ISU be given an invitation for a second straight year to the Pinstripe.

TCU has to play Texas and Oklahoma yet. TCU will be 6-6 in all likelihood.

Why are so many on this board picking ISU to go to the holiday bowl? Wishful thinking?
