It's hard to argue with Splitidentity on this because his argument is so detailed, compelling, and backed with empirical evidence.

I see only one problem with your statement. Virginia is a commonwealth not a state.

I know, I'm just being an *****.
Here is West Virginia's seal. Now, they look like a bunch of hicks...  Actually we were talking about Virginia. We covered all there was to cover about WV and ISU football history and moved on to something far more compelling. Hence, the spontaneous and lively discussion on state seals.
