    ESPN Big 12 blog picks

WVU to win. I dont normally whine about these things and realize who cares what ubbs thinks, but it kinda struck a sore nerve. He said our defense was one of the slower ones in the Big12 as the reason he was picking WVU (didnt bother me that much).

What did bother me was when talking about Baylor he said that he had faith in the bears earily but lost it when they lost to ISU. If we win this week we will likely finish 6th in the Big 12 and he acts like we are Kansas.

With this post you are literally feeding a troll.

On a side note I heard Ubbs got a walk on part in the upcoming Hobbit film...true?

    False. He's not tall enough.

I agree with you, I picked up on both those things as well. It really doesn't bother me that he picked against us (it should be a close game), but it is clear from everything he says that he has no respect for us at all. It really seems like he believes we're really the worst team in the Big XII, but we get lucky and win several games we shouldn't. For example, I really don't see how he still has TCU higher than us in his power ratings.

I think the main reason is that he really overvalues teams with good offenses and undervalues teams with good defenses. You could make the case that our offense has been (last week notwithstanding) the worst or the second worst in the Big 12.

Just remember that last week he picked Kansas beating Iowa State as his "upset special". Anyone remember how that one turned out?

Not sure why Ubbs not giving credit to ISU surprises anyone at this point.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

As a follow up to this prediction I just read USA Today's preview for the West Virginia vs. Iowa State game and they are picking West Virginia 52-35. They didn't really say anything bad about ISU but they said WVU had to much offense that ISU couldn't keep up with. What I didn't understand was they didn't explain was ISU's defense giving up 52 points in a game where nobody else has even come close to that.

Do what I do. Don't read his crap. His opinion has always been that ISU isn't worth much. On occasion, he throws us a bone, but it's usually backhanded. Knowing that, I've avoided his opinion piece. You guys should give it a try.

BUT WE NEED TO GET MAD!
“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.”

If anyone is going to score 52 on Iowa State, it's probably WVU.

Only way I see it happening, though, is if ISU gets in a big hole early.

I want to agree with the prevailing opinions, but being an older Cyclone fan, I still have trouble shaking the past. i.e. looking over my shoulder, waiting for the other shoe to drop, waiting to wake up, etc.

Anyone see Tavon Austin make the OU defense look silly? Holgorson made an adjustment to get the ball into the hands of one of CFB's best players. That could spell t-r-o-u-b-l-e for us.

Ubben is pretty butt hurt that Isu is going to win 8 games and his lowly tigers aren't going to a bowl game ..5-7.

I'll take CPR, Wally, and our D any day. They won't get anywhere near 50, they might get 30.

    Anyone remember this?

Pittsburgh Panthers vs. West Virginia Mountaineers - Box Score - December 01, 2007 - ESPN
"But let’s see if the Cyclones can give everyone a nice big ****burger to eat. Opportunity awaits." -Brent Blum
