Cold and very windy tomorrow

I'm thinking these extreme conditions might benefit us more than WV. At least I hope so.

It's not going to be that windy(still a bit breezy) by gametime and it'll been lessening throughout.

Who has the stronger run game and/or run defense? With Austin at RB for WVU, I think it favors them.

We have a far better defense. I think they have a slight edge at RB.

As of right now, weather.com is saying winds of 19 mph at gametime and a lukewarm 33 degrees. 25 degrees for the tailgate start.

Their run defense numbers are skewed due to the shootouts they are always a part of. They may still be good but the numbers lie.

If they may still be good, then the numbers may not lie.
Also consider that teams have incentive to run the ball to avoid getting in a shootout against them, as well as their defense having more possessions on the field.

Random thought of the day, but could it be a detriment to our own Sam Richardson more than it is to Geno, simply because this may be his first cold weather game? Where as Geno has probably played in a few of these over his years. I certainly hope this is not the case, and Sam is weather proof.

Sam may be from Florida, but he's from Winter Park, Florida. Probably used to build snow forts with his bare hands as a child.
