I disagree. I don't think the website will limit Sam at all.
Otherwise, I agree. The line seems to be a recurring issue.

The problem with your logic is, if every year the line is bad because the players aren't that good, eventually someone will be better.
Besides, if Lichtenberg wins a starting spot at tackle, he'll be a "multi-year starter" as well. And I've always liked his and Gannon's athleticism, they've just needed to get stronger. That might not translate to KO type run blocking, but pass protection on the edge could well be good.
Which will help either Richardson or Rohach...or Barnett.

Our 0-line will be fine. Note above. He would not have done the above without time to think.
The kid really didn't have much of a chance throwing last week because of the conditions and pressure but his stat line wasn't good and he made two decisions that should have been picks. I'm excited about him and have been for some time. He hasn't been flawless. There's a reason coaches chart things out and grade players. The point is to put them in a vacuum and judge their performance based on their performance alone to disregard things like drops or other things that aren't really in their control. Sam missed some passes and missed some open guys. That's not to say he won't be good but I don't look for All Conference QB next year either.

Great point, and recently those lines, despite the criticism (including people saying they are below average), have been getting Big 12 recognition and NFL roster spots (Hicks, KO, Stephens). Our Oline can only be "above average" with better play from other units of our offense.
I too think our OL will be fine and similar to this year. In the WVU game we saw 4/5 of the starters. We lose two starters, but replace them with part-time starters that will hopefully be at their more natural positions. Dika at guard will make our interior tougher, and the group as a whole will be older than this year. these bowl reps will be huge for the two young tackles.

13 of 31 isnt good but yeah considering the wind factor and the fact that sam had NO turnovers, i certainly wouldnt say he was bad. i think the person who made that comment was probably just expecting big numbers since WVU cannot defent the pass at all and sam put up big numbers the previous week
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
IMO, Sam will have a hard time living up to the hype next season. I think his ceiling is high - yet he played against 2 poor defenses.

The WVU game was distinctly not a vacuum.

What hype? Some are expecting him to do well, others are expecting there to be a battle some Spring. Even more are talking about how poorly he did against WVU. So, what "hype" are you talking about?

Geno Smith was 22/31 with at least 4-5 of those rinky-dink touch passes. Take those away and he is 17/31. I think we all can agree Geno is a pretty good qb and he did terrible that game too (and I am willing to bet it wasn't because of our stellar DB play).

If I was playing the Clones, I would not want to see SR on the field at this point. Grant needs to be really good to compete with SR next year from what little we saw.

If you take away the rinky-dink touch pass completions you have to take away the attempts. That puts him at 17 of 26 - a still respectable 65%.
Regardless, I'm not a fan of the "if you take away this the stats look like that" arguments anyway. If the WVU D manages to hang on to the two (or was it three?) passes that hit them right in the hands Sam's stats don't look nearly as good either.
I'm sure right now Sam isn't as good as some posters where saying he was right after the KU game and I'm also sure right now he isn't as bad as some posters are saying he is after the WVU game. I'll admit I am excited about the proposition of having a QB, but I'm not going to heap a bunch of expectations on the kid.
