Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
I agree. I think he could really be special when he finally gets the confidence to really whip it around the field. He was extremely cautious today, which was fine in this wind today. No reason to force too much when you're still in the game.
His TD pass to Bundrage was a thing of beauty. Not sure that Jantz or JB can make that accurate of a throw?
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
Richardson looked exhausted in that 4th quarter. Definitely does not have game legs yet.
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
JB or SJ could not make that throw. It was there more often this season and they both missed it. Great to have another game to prep for and get Richardson more touches. He forced some things and missed some plays but all QBs do but now he has some more practices for this year and next.
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
I do have to admit I'm still interested to see what Rohach brings to the table, but Richardson is sure making his case for the starting job in the long term.
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
Can't wait for the bowl game and to see what he can do after 3 to 4 weeks more practice with then first teamers.
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
WV is a legitimate team on offense, not defense. Coming into this game they were ranked 117th in total defense out of 120 FBS teams. Not good.
Hopefully he faces a stronger defensive team in a bowl game to gain more experience for next season.
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
QB of the future and its not even close
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
He looked good? He looked good running the ball but was bad against one of the worst secondaries in the country.
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
No QB controversy this off-season.
Richardson>>>>Barnett and it's not even close. Grant may try and shake things up and if he does then that means he's an improvement over Richardson. Barnett will be a backup if needed to finish out a game.
At least we have a QB in Richardson that can throw and make the right moves with running. He's not super fast when running but makes good moves to get yards.

We've got ourselves a legitimate QB for years to come.
I agree - with the exception of that one attempted shove pass and a few times not looking down field before he took off running I thought he made good decisions today. For the first time in several weeks I will stop ******** that we need to sign Waters, the JUCO QB from IWCC for immediate help.
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
People underestimate the wind. Geno wasn't even attempting throws downfield.
Re: Sam Richardson, Act II
He was very good. Even though WVU is poor against the pass, that wind was brutal. What a player. He looks like QB back there, not just a good athlete with a good arm.

Geno Smith couldn't throw the ball today either if you noticed? A 30 mph wind might have had something to do with that? And no, I don't really count a little dump off to the most dangerous guy in college football who takes it 60 yds or whatever it was to the house as Geno Smith making a great pass. Richardson's pass into the wind to Bundrage was a great pass. I didn't see any real good passes by Geno today for the most part.
Richardson is going to be a good one.
