Re: ***Official What Bowl Are We Going To Thread***
Seems like too much is up in the air right now. I think the four possibilities are
MCC Bowl
HOD Bowl
Music City Bowl
Liberty Bowl
MCC Bowl: A lot needs to happen here. Friday, we need Kent St. to lose to Northern Illinois. Then we need OU and KSU to win. This should get us two teams in the BCS. Then we need it to come down to the MCC bowl, HOD bowl, and Pinstripe selecting between us, WVU, and Baylor. We very well could get an MCC bowl invitation due to our stomping of Baylor, but hopefully they don't take the hotter team. Then that gives the Pinstripe WVU (assuming thats what they want) and Baylor to HOD. Possible opponents: Purdue, Minnesota. This is what i'm hoping for.
HOD Bowl: Exact same stuff as above, but Baylor would be invited to MCC, and we would drop to HOD bowl. Possible opponents: Purdue, Minnesota. Probably the least of my preferences.
Music City Bowl: On friday, we need Kent St. to beat Northern Illinois. In short, we need the Big 12 to only get one BCS bid. Then we need UCLA's waiver to get denied. I'm still skeptical on if it will get denied or not. If it does get denied, then I'd assume they would take us (the only BCS conference at large). Possible opponents: Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Miss St. This is my second preference.
Liberty Bowl: Same thing as Music City Bowl. This is the alternative if UCLA's waiver gets accepted. We would also need Tulsa to lose to UCF, to avoid a rematch of earlier this season. Looks like we'd be playing UCF. Obviously, this is my third prefernce.
Take it sleazy...and I'm out

Why's that? It's NYD and everyone (who likes college football) is off work and watching football all day.
I guess I was comparing a NYD tv game to playing on a random early December Thurs night.

I guess I was comparing a NYD tv game to playing on a random early December Thurs night. the gator, outback and capital one bowl all start at the same time on ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC, a lot of people dont even get ESPNU, that is why this is the only bowl to be on ESPNU.

Ah, gotcha thanks. Hopefully the ban is upheld & they pull an Ohio State next year.

I prefer a Texas bowl just because of the extensive opportunity it gives us to recruit, not just during the game, but during the weeks before
