Re: ***Official What Bowl Are We Going To Thread***
Boise State will likely be passed by Kent State.
Kent State though has a very real shot with the computers though with an average ranking going into this week of 22 and a game against a top 25 No. Illinois next week. Almost all computers have NIU somewhere around 23-27
They will get a nice lift going into next week on the computer side.

My prediction. Big 12 gets two in the BCS (I don't think Kent or Boise crack the top 16 in the final standings). Meineke Car Care Bowl chooses us over Baylor and WVU. WVU goes to NYC and Baylor to Dallas.

It is hard to know what is running through the minds of the bowl execs. Some of their decisions are weird, maybe we can catch a break.

Re: ***Official What Bowl Are We Going To Thread***
This is what sucks about bowl selections ... won't know where we are going until 3 / 4 weeks before the bowl game. Makes it hard to to plan for and get reasonable air fare in such a small window.

FAQ ik but when do we find out where we are going.

Re: ***Official What Bowl Are We Going To Thread***
We have some ****** *** fans, but we do show up pretty well for postseason events.
2010 Texas Bowl 68,211 (vs Illinois)
2011 Alamo Bowl 65,256 (vs Washington)
HoD Bowl could pick ISU over BU though if they are looking to up the CoC as most Baylor fans would only be day trippers. I know the Independence Bowl people are really interested in BU. Maybe they know/think that the HoD Bowl would rather have ISU than BU.

Ames to Houston / San Antonio = 16 hours
I guess it really depends on if it is more important for them to have butts in seats or to fill motel rooms / restaurants for multiple days.

Plus, Purdue sucks and we would roll them.

Only question I would have is if the Meineke Car Care would want Baylor or Iowa State. I think WVU is pretty well locked into Pinstripe because that bowl will want them bad. MCC could go with either team and HoD will get the other one. I think I'd prefer HoD, to be honest, but it might not work out that way. Who knows...
