It also would have been the highest ranked team they played all year, which would have been a (relative) huge bump to their SOS in the computers which previously only would have included the other crappy MAC schools. It isn't shocking the computer ranking went up if you think about the forumlas they use.

Arky State makes a lot of sense for Memphis based on location but I would bet on Shreveport. Central MI for Detroit, and Iowa State to Memphis. The only people that care about Arky State are Arky State grads, not a big deal in this state.
CMU can't be at-large in Detroit because the other team in that game is from the MAC (team still TBA).

Well the one new ranking I have seen had them at #32 before and #32 after beating Kent State. So the other five must behave quite differently especially since the best one will be thrown out figuring that #32 was the worst one.

Seems very unlikely considering who we are playing musical chairs with. It's not like there are SEC teams or other bigger names needing a seat. It's us and 4 others that don't have our resume or following.
