You did NOT break the Jake Knott story. Everyone here knew about it well before you showed up, it's just because it was a rumor at that point the threads were deleted. The fact that you THINK you broke the story shows how ignorant you really are.

When I say raise, I mean his salary will be getting doubled. Pollack will renegotiate PR's contract to 3 million per year... if Rhodes gets serious with any other school. He has been in contact (As in schools reaching out to him) with a small handful of schools, if you think real hard you can probably figure out who....
We all know Rhodes would love to remain a Cyclone, but he has mentioned a few times that coaching is a business.
The main point here, when the talk heats up among PR and other schools, Pollack will get out his check book again.
Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly but didn't Pollard offer CPR a raise shortly after he'd been here but CPR turned it down and said to use the money for facilities? If that's true I don't think it's just business to him.
Someone is going to offer Rhoads more than $20 million?
Because he would be pretty dumb to take a 3 or 4 year deal, even at $3 mil per year. Coaches are getting fired after 1 freaking year now. Because if he gets canned after year 1 or 2, he cost himself a TON of money.
I think the OP was just in a hurry to get the news out and I for one appreciate the info. Heck it's a message board 95% of the stuff that is posted on here is not legit. At least it gives us something to talk about.
I'd like to think Pollard knows what he is doing and how it takes about a perfect fit to make things work here at ISU. I think we are as close to perfect as we can be. So lets do what we can to keep this staff intact and for as long as possible.
On that note, what schools are looking at taking CPR? I just can't imagine how any coach would want to coach in the SEC with all the firings and pressure. I know money talks!!!
"If baseball players speaking in front of Congress can be put on trial for perjury, then why shouldn't the politicians we vote for be held accountable to the same standard during their campaigns?" -Paraphrased from The Newsroom
Good Post. This is part of the reason why CPR will take some of the phone calls from other AD's. He knows his ceiling is only so high at ISU as is his salary. He would be a very good fit at Tennessee or Arkansas. Still I doubt we see him leave.
So what happens when I am right again on this thread? Are you going to ***** about me on the next one too?
CPR probably will get a raise. It is a common occurrence for a coach that is a hot commodity, after all. The fact that you said he would does not make you insightful or an insider, it makes you MASTER OF THE OBVIOUS.
It's like saying "the sun will come out tomorrow" and being right.
