The B12 could be more like Costco. The product is higher quality (B12 football), and we make our money selling it to the more discerning customer (cashing in on Tier 1 and 2 contracts that are based on getting a couple marque matchups per week with a lot of national appeal).
We don't make our money like they do, so just because it is a good idea for them to expand by adding mediocre schools, doesn't mean that we are missing out on opportunities by sitting this out for the time being.

I'd buy that the ACC just stayed level swapping Maryland for Louisville, but as far as on field performance goes they drastically improved in the two revenue sports. TV market wise it's a slight hit but they still have lots of teams near Maryland.
I'm not saying the Big 12 "HAD" to go after Louisville, but it was likely Florida State's top choice for ACC expansion when UConn and Cincy were next in line. The ACC took Louisville to make FSU and Clemson happy, before all the Big 12 rumors for FSU/Clemson they'd have grabbed UConn.
Wish we had gotten Louisville and Rutgers.
Looking forward to hearing CW's analysis and predictions about what is next.

I think we are going to see 4 mega conferences down the road. The SEC, Big 10, and PAC 12 will be there which leaves the Big 12 and ACC will be battling out for the 4th spot.Quote:
