I bet most of the schools have certain "perks" associated with recruiting visits, too. I know ISU is one, always attractive girls showing them around when they visit here... At the BYU basketball game I saw Jake Knott's girlfriend leading a group of lucky recruits around.

Wimberly has been into bsu for a long time. Not surprising he visited. He chose us after having interest in them ... still think he's a clone.

I'm also guessing that he would redshirt here if he played RB since we have 3 SR RBs.
I really like that Rhoads has redshirted some JUCOs over the years. I think Ernst Brun was the latest to RS. I do think Wimberly would play some in 2013 though. We'll want to see some sort of experience at running back going into 2014. That will also mean trying to find reps for 6 RBs.

He's a RB right now but I'm not sure why the staff would recruit a JUCO guy to play RB. You have a bunch of guys there already and RB is a place where a freshman can come in a contribute. I think he may be used as both a RB and receiver at times.

No.

While it may be a head-scratcher to us, the staff hasn't made any colossal mistakes that make me doubt their decisions. I'm sure they had their reasons.

We lose 3 RB's after next year. It might be nice to have a little more depth there considering we didn't bring a RB in last year.

I bet SJ gets a medical RS, but the point still stands.

If I'm not mistaken he's a little bigger than our scat backs which is a dimenion we need. A healthy Woody looked good but I'd love a guy like Wimberly that brings a little more power.

It would be nice, but imo we would be fine with Nealy and redshirt and true freshmen at RB in 2014. I think Wimberly is being brought in because he so talented more so than need. He is faster and naturally a little bigger than White and SJ.

didn't he play in 4 games? i don't think that qualifies you.
Re: Aaron Wimberly now has visit scheduled for Boise State on 12-7
In a perfect world once a kid committed to ISU they would completely close off recruiting and never visit another school. Real world situation is that isnt the way it works.
I'm not going to say that I "like" it but there is nothing I can do about it and it has benefitted us in the very recent past (Campos).
I would rather have this and every other young person look around and make sure that when they sign that LOI they are "All In" rather than take a scholly for a year or two and then decide to transfer because the program isnt a good "fit".
Consider this these visits the Bachelor trips of a young mans college recruiting. As long as he comes home, and without any communicable diseases whatever happened on the Bachelor trip is history.
Re: Aaron Wimberly now has visit scheduled for Boise State on 12-7
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Wimberly. I picture him as a more effective version of White.

Pretty sure the rule is played in 25% or less of the season.
