Re: Liberty Bowl
I went to the Liberty Bowl and the Peach Bowl in Atlanta....both on New Year's Eve day, and both losses....but still had a hell of a good time!
Another thing to note.......the Liberty Bowl has a bigger payout than the Independence, Heart of Dallas, or the the bowl game in Detroit........so there's that.

Re: Liberty Bowl
I want to beat the livin' crap out of these guys. I hope Richardson plays like he did vs. Kansas. Bummed we're playing Tulsa AGAIN but happy for a nice bowl. Liberty Bowl sounds way cooler than the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl or Little Casaers Bowl... Plus it's cool we've gone there before in the 70's.
Watson and Givens proved how much the D misses them during WVU.... Wish we had Knott coming back but I think AK and JG are starting to get better together.

Because OU got knocked out of a bcs selection it bumped everyone down a notch and since we were last on the list we got bumped out of any big 12 bowl and this was about the best runner up you could find..

Re: Liberty Bowl
The Liberty Bowl was a great landing spot for us, given how things played out. It really is too bad we just happened to have Tulsa on our schedule sandwiched on either side of this bowl game. If UTEP or Tulane was the CUSA team we thumped in the non conference this year and was returning to the schedule next year, no one would mind playing Tulsa in Memphis at all.
