Probably head coach's decision, but Dykkes is keeping his head down and letting Vandevelde take the fall.

Why would it be the HCs decision?

I believe BVDV has been quoted as saying he was holding out for the Liberty and that the Big12 not getting two BCS bids messed that up.

Why wouldn't it be? Both involved, HC likely the final decision maker, it's his team. ADs who want to keep HCs give HCs as much power and latitude as possible.

Any school hiring BVD deserves to receive what it gets. I laugh at the LA-Tech admin for doing so, but has to suck for the students and alumni.

I'm so glad he's not our AD anymore. Our athletic's were becoming stale under his leadership and the guy had to be one of the worst decision makers. Wouldn't be surprised if LT runs him out of town now too
