We could very well ending up laying down for that one.

Seems like we are aiming too low.
How was that going to happen with 6 wins?
Sure, I wish he'd worked us into the Fiesta Bowl, but that wasn't going to happen. At 6 wins, you work the art of the possible.

This thread took a strange turn. By the way sex would be 4.5 favorites over ISU. No matter how big of a hole they find themselves in they always seem to come from behind to win.

You know, I hope 15,000 Cyclone fans show up, or more. My point is, I'm not going to point an accusatory finger at the fanbase if it has a lukewarm turnout, though. Guess that's my point.
I really, really hope Cyclone fans find a way to respond with an impressive turnout. I really do.

Keys to the game:
Start slow

Pull it out at the end.

(Sigh) Junior high humor. It was old when I was 12. I loath guys who think this stuff is funny.
Immaturity. Ugly stuff.

Re: Fan base traveling reputation on the line with Liberty Bowl
ISU has to be the best option available for the liberty bowl right. the article makes it sound like we beat out an sec team. "...Memphis opted for a Big 12 program to fill its slot instead". we weren't chosen 'instead' of a sec team, isu was picked because there weren't any sec teams available.
who would have been a better pick for them in terms of attendance and a good matchup? they chose the best team available and we accepted a bid to the best bowl that wanted us.
the point does remain that attendance is important. but no more important than any other bowl game.

I really, really hope Cyclone fans find a way to respond with an impressive turnout. I really do. It doesn't matter what the people on this board think. It matters what the bowl executives see. Last year the Pinstripe Bowl was not a great showing by any stretch of the imagination. 2009 in Tempe wasn't exactly "light the world on fire" attendance. The only people who view the Cyclones as big travelers right now are the Cyclones. The first Insight Bowl has been proven to be an anomaly and not the ordinary.
And saying we travel well for road games is garbage. Remember playing Kansas State at Arrowhead? Attendance was pathetic.
