Fan base traveling reputation on the line with Liberty Bowl

After putting on some pressure, I've successfully convinced the family we should go. Four of us will be headed to our first bowl game! Got a hotel but haven't bought the tickets yet.

Pollard's comment that our fans travelling will help secure a future trip to the Alamo Bowl is downright silly and borderline disingenuous to ISU fans. ISU winning more than 6 games a season is what will get us to the Alamo Bowl.

And if ISU is in a group of say 3 teams at 8-4 a reputation for traveling well makes a difference, thus his comment

And Oklahoma State probably thought they would be safe from the Heart of Dallas Bowl....

I agree with this. If the traveling reputation were in play, then Dallas would have selected us over OSU. Just hyping the bowl to try and get some solid sales. At the end of the day the team's record is what will dictate our bowl selection primarily.

4,000? Our original allotment was 10,000.

I think it is a given at this point that we will have to ask for more tickets. The only question is how many more.

BS - OSU got absolutely hosed, and it's because they don't travel well. OSU was 4th place in the conference, above others w/ their overall record due to wins in-conference and loss to Arizona, yet sent to the last-place conference affiliated bowl. No way should Tech or Baylor or TCU have EVER been placed ahead of OSU.

Are the ticket offices open on the weekend? I would guess Monday if they aren't, Saturday if they are.

Quite right. The bowl game would really have some explaining to do if they picked a 3-6 team over a 5-4 team. They might be able to swing picking a team with one more overall loss, but not with a difference of 2 conference wins and the head to head victory advantage to boot.
