Re: Fan base traveling reputation on the line with Liberty Bowl
Tickets open up to non-donors tomorrow correct? I bet there's a bump from that

No way should Tech or Baylor or TCU have EVER been placed ahead of OSU. OSU travels better than Baylor. That is not a question. Plus...Tech beat OSU and Baylor was on a bit of roll at the end of the year whereas OSU dropped their last 2 games. Even TCU looked good beating Texas and hanging with OU. The bowls went with the hotter teams and traveling reputation had nothing to do with it or else Baylor would not be in the Holiday Bowl.

I would think that would send some buyers to an outside source for their tickets. I would think a higher minimum would help ISU direct sales. Did any boosters call for tickets because they needed more than their minimum? Did you receive the tickets you wished for?

I agree that the maximum number of tickets a donor can buy should be upped, but understand their ultimate goal is getting more and higher NCC donations. Yes the 4 in my group received the tickets we wanted, they're in the Iowa State section around ISU fans. No idea where within that block we are but not worried about it since the tickets are a flat price anyway

First, TECH DID NOT BEAT OSU! They lost 59-21! Tech doesn't travel and got unraveled losing their last two and losing 4 of their last 5, with only win against Kansas, and prior to that an OT win against TCU, and two losses before that. They should have NEVER been picked over OSU.
Baylor should be excluded from any bowl until they can sell half the seats in their existing stadium, before using the tarp.

That will put us on the map and maybe even give us a leapfrog for a future bowl.

Wow, I thought we'd hit 10,000 by the close of business tomorrow. 1500 in a few hours is just crazy. Looks like that debate over whether we travel well has slowed down a bit...

“I told you, I don’t care if you’re black or white. I don’t care if you’re rich or poor. I don’t care where you come from, whether it’s Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I don’t care about any of that… But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads
