Congrats!
Congrats to Iowa State, team, coaches, administration and fans on a good season and your selection to play in the Liberty Bowl. I know a rematch with Tulsa wasn't what everybody wanted but it is a good bowl and Tulsa is a good team. Added practices, exposure also helps and when you go to a bowl the off season is so much shorter till spring practice arrives. It's a win win situation. Good luck in the game and I wish you continued success.

Re: Congrats!
Thanks. See you Friday. "There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr -

Agree - Tulsa is a solid team and any type of game experience is huge for the youngsters

Re: Congrats!
At this rate, Tulsa might become a new rivalry for us. Playing them 3 times in a 1-year span (approx) is quite extraordinary. With that said, if we don't come out and stomp those guys from the first snap, I'll be sorely disappointed.

Re: Congrats!
They played with us and the forced fumble by Knott was huge, some would maybe say we wouldn't had won had it not been for Jake Knott. If Sam is on though and we hold onto the ball we should win soundly.

Re: Congrats!
Agreed, hard to say we're taking steps forward to being an above-average BCS school if we can't trounce Conf. USA teams.
I would like to see a competitive game in the 1st quarter, but after that just have Sam & the boys run away with it!

Re: Congrats!
Yep. Cyclone vs Hurricane again. Which will win out?
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Congrats!
With a month to prepare I think CPR will have Sam and the boys ready to roll these guys.

I really hope they don't spend the entire bowl practices preparing for Tulsa. I know they typically don't. CPR has said in the past players get bored preparing for an opponent after more than a week. Can't imagine an opponent they've already played. The extra practices will be more focused on fundamental's and giving younger players more repetitions in competitive situations.
