That's the only way I could really see us landing him. However, I'm not sure the theory that highly ranked recruits are attracted to other highly ranked recruits holds as true in football as it does in basketball. Holding out a little hope, but I don't really see it.

I believe we at least have a shot at him....unlikely? Yes but still a shot. More than we could have said a few years ago.

He has a lot of friends (Barkely Hill and Ike Boettger) who are playing for Iowa next year. That has to help their recruiting. Its tough to say no when OU, ND, Bama, etc come calling though. We definitely have a shot, although less then Iowa, and less then the big guys. This kid is the real deal.

Much like Lazard was ISU or out of state,
It looks like Pierschbacher is Iowa or out of state.

Wouldn't it be easier to ask the kid himself?

    Define play....
If by play, you mean get hurt and arrested than yes, play.

Are they tight? I played football with some kids I didn't like...

Is he Catholic? Could go a long way for ND.

Could, but I also know a lot of Catholics who have absolutely zero interest in Notre Dame.

We lucked out on Barkley Hill. I am from Cedar Falls and they ran him like a rented mule here, a running back only has som many carries before they break down.

I know some people related to this kid and they seem to think we are in the lead. Take it for what it's worth. Hope it is true.

Would be great news. If the Campos committment swayed Lazard, I would think the the Lazard committment would be more than enough to at least allow him to consider ISU seriously. Especially with the way ISU and the Big 12 are trending compared to Iowa and the Big 10.
"He is the toughest I have ever been around, physically and mentally," Burnham said. "You can beat him down but you’re not going to beat him out. He’s got the mindset of, ‘If you’re going to get me out of this game, you’re going to have to kill me.’ That’s about where he is."

I have a hard time believing that since he has yet to visit here. REALLY hope it is true though.

Or both players, knowing that he could be playing next to Campos.

You're talking to one. It's hit and miss...some families are rabid though.

He is a life long hawk fan. I'd love to pull him in but I ultimately think he ends up at Notre Dame or Alabama.
