    JD Waggoner senior highlights

Good frame to build on for about 2 years before we really need him to contribute.

Looks like a very smart player that doesn't get himself into trouble. Looks pretty quick too. Probably a little better looking than I expecting him to be at this point.
    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

I try not to be negative about HS kids but it would not surprise me if he showed up to ISU not much bigger than Pavlenko. Guy may be a LB actually.

No way he's a LB in college. Looks like a smart player that knows football and that puts him in the right spots.

Little slow off the ball, wonder if they'll beef him up and move him inside or keep him at DE

Definitely a smart player. I like how he doesn't seem to over commit the rush and appears to have really good instincts in regards to how the play is going to develop. This kid seems to have the frame to be able to put quite a few good pounds while redshirting. Nice highlights.

Look at him in the vids. He looks more like a FBS Safety than an FBS DT. He's just small.

3:00 mark is the most impressive play IMO. Seems to always make the right reed off the fakes.

He may be smaller than listed, but I do not think you realize just how small Pavlenko was.

I disagree, I think he has a good first step and that may be his saving grace to stay at DE at ISU. Good instincts, smart and maybe a little mean streak can make a heck of a rotational DE at this level.

6 foot 3 235. There's no way that's as safety. I would imagine that's what jake and aj are about at now

Pavlenko came here at 5'11" 200lbs

I like the way he plays and he appears to have a nice motor and decent frame. I'm going to assume that we'll see what happens with his body after a couple years at the training table and with Yancy. My eyes see a guy who could be a 3-technique down the road. I don't think he quite has the feet to be a LB, so if he doesn't get a lot bigger I think he's a SDE. Looking forward to seeing him develop.

    Cheers

He reminds me of a slightly larger version of Patrick Neal. Same type of player. Makes good reads as a play develops.

    Re: JD Waggoner senior highlights

Good hands, good lateral speed, a little lanky Yancy will fix that, definitely DE and possibly DT by JR/SR year....
