I wonder if Doeren doesn't end up backing out of NC State and going to Wisky. I wouldn't think he'd have finalized his contract with NC State yet.
Re: Rhoads has intrest in coaching Wisconsin?
Wisconsin thinks they are too big a deal to hire CPR, at least I'm hoping.

While I dont think he will leave....
my heart as a Cyclone fan tells me that just when we are starting to land some really good kids recruiting... it would fit perfectly for now being the time that we lose a coach....
Its you have to wear a nut cup everyday as a Clone fan.

Who was in NYC this week and why?
The Heisman Trophy Presentation this weekend????? Anyone from the Kansas State, Texas A&M or Notre Dame staff? I would guess none of the head coaches (Snyder too old, Wisconsin would be a step down from Notre Dame, and Sumlin appears to have A&M rolling pretty well). Maybe one of the coordinators from those staffs?
Re: Rhoads has intrest in coaching Wisconsin?
Some troll over on Hawk Nation was saying that this would be a perfect time for Alvarez to step down as AD so Wisconsin can make a move on JP and bring CPR along with him.
I LOL'd.

Pollard made some comments on M&A yesterday that makes me think he wouldn't be too interested in returning to Madison without doing some major house cleaning

That settles it. Barry Alvarez will be the next HC at Wisconsin.

Wow, not related to Wisky, but I was surprised to see this:
Mario Cristobal surprisingly fired by Florida International | Dr. Saturday - Yahoo! Sports
First two bowl games in school history, then 1 3-9 year and you are gone. That's why coaches move up when they get the chance, because one rash of injuries leading to a bad season and you may be moving down.
Re: Rhoads has intrest in coaching Wisconsin?
Alvarez was probably in the room 5 minutes later. Maybe he will hire himself...
