Re: Rhoads has intrest in coaching Wisconsin?
ESPN reports Butch Jones turned down the Colorado job. Maybe he was waiting for a better job to open up (ie Wisconsin)?

There are plenty of ways to sell a guy like Rhoads to a fan base like UW's. That is the scary part. A guy that can do so much with a smaller budget, lessor facilities, a talent gap against Big XII schools that is certainly not in his favor, etc... A school with a big budget, with better facilities, that is on the plus side of the talent gap, etc... Is a school that says if he can go .500 at ISU there is no limit to what he could do here.
I am hopeful that CPR will stay but to think that a school he has no ties to wouldn't be interested in him is crazy. The post you quoted was from a series of posts in which the original post said AFTER A ROUGH SEASON CPR might be tempted to leave. So at the point of the conversation you jumped in the discussion was could UW (or any bigger program) sell CPR after a rough season at ISU? I will reiterate my stance...no, not after a rough stretch at ISU! Could they sell him today...certainly, but that wasn't what the discussion was about.

I would hate to see this fanbase turn into the entitled douchebags that seem to surround us on all sides with a little success Pollard is wrong about Bielema. Alvarez is the best coach Wisconsin has ever had. Look at where the program was when Alvarez took over, it was a terrible football program. It's much harder to get it turned around then it is to keep it going.

Not a chance CPR leaves. No one is more fired up about the future of ISU football than CPR.

Although a BCS bowl, 7-5 does not make you a good football team, especially considering the talent in the B1G this year. Ohio State is the only BCS caliber team in that conference at the moment. Baylor is 7-5 in a better conference. What if they were in the Rose Bowl?? -

Re: Rhoads has intrest in coaching Wisconsin?
My thoughts were JP did get a call from Barry to talk to Paul and that JP's comments were intended for Barry, also found the comments that he has done everything he possibly can to keep CPR here is interesting...

Re: Rhoads has intrest in coaching Wisconsin?
"Interested" probably means Paul will take their call, but it doesn't mean he will take their job. Of course coaches are "interested" in the Wisconsin job, regardless of whether they will be offered, or consider accepting it, or not. Poor choice of words from the Twitterazzie...nothing to see here but wishful thinking from Wisconsin's side of things. At best it just means that Paul isn't burning his bridges.

Re: Rhoads has intrest in coaching Wisconsin?
I keep seeing people say that Rhoads could go to a program with better facilities & following. With the completion of our new facility, isn't it true we now have as good facilities as anybody? Stadium needs work, but our fans fill it for a perenniel 6-6 team. Where else do you get that kind of support?

Re: Rhoads has intrest in coaching Wisconsin?
I think it's more of a slap at Badger fans. A sizable portion of the fan base has grumbled about Bielema since day 1. Originally Posted by Trice It feels like a pretty direct shot at Barry to me. Pollard didn't need to go that far. He could have said Bielema was one of the best ever and left it alone. But to be that direct felt intentional.
I'm not getting into whether what Pollard said is true or not; that's for Wisconsin fans to decide. But the fact that he volunteered that opinion and was so direct about it suggests to me that Pollard's relationship with Alvarez and/or Wisconsin has soured. I was a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all. -

Why would he give up that guaranteed win against Iowa every year? Wisc doesn't play them every year.

But you are an idiot if you think ISU to Wiscy isn't a big enough jump for him. I'm an idiot. I don't think it's big enough for him to go.
I feel free to blow off this rumor with a dismissive wave of my hand.
