Was there any ever doubt that is what he meant? JP may be mindful of building a brand, but I did not expect him to change the uniform or colors for the last game of the year.

I realize that the colors are the same as USC's, but the uniforms are the EXACT same ones as LSU, not USC. They just happen to have the same colors.

That, and we don't have a condom logo on our helmets.

TV side = side shown on TV = side opposite from press box = sections ~115-125

Was ISU the home team in our previous Liberty Bowl? If so, we could do some throwbacks. Of course that wouldn't help with the "brand recognition" but it would look cool.

I really don't care for the cardinal, USC look-a-like, uniforms. I see replays on TV, see that uniform, get excited that ISU is on national TV, and, of course, it's not. The gold pants with the white jerseys are the best.

Of course, the Athletic Department offered up three choices for the new helmet design in a public poll a few years ago and my vote was cast for a one of the two eventual losers.

JP is doing a great job. And I have to think that the fact that we sold 10,000 tickets immediately gave him a lot of influence with the Liberty Bowl for these favors. Love watching him work.

I suppose it's like Tavern Hawk seeing the Steelers on TV and saying "GO HOKS!"

I'd prefer we went back to Cardinal pants with the White away jersey. I liked that look. Either way. We've had this style jersey and colors from WAY back. To me I like the Packers and Bears uni's... it's classic and consistent with their history. JP did that with ISU. Go through the years (Football Uniforms - Cardinal and Gold Threads) and see... today we look WAY more like ISU than the *early* Mac years (I HATED those uni's during those years with the navy).

And fwiw I love our uni's now. The home and away are very sharp.
