So the problem isn't shooting a real gun at the games, it is that he can't also use the same gun to hunt with? Why not just build a gun that can only shoot blanks?

Reminds me when I got told not to point my "gun" at other kids at recess. You know, the one you make with your hands (aka finger gun).

Personally, I trust the people that blow the cannon off because there's multiple people.
I don't trust a mascot with a beard from West Virginia. How do we know his girl didn't leave him for his brother the night before and he's gonna go on a shooting spree?
I'm fine if they do it at their own games. Just don't bring that **** into my house.

Mountaineers gonna Mountaineer.
"For the great enemy of truth is very often not the lie -- deliberate, contrived, and dishonest -- but the myth -- persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought."

He could get one shot off. That's it. It's black powder and takes too long to load to go on a killing spree

I guess not a shooting spree but a shooting. One shot can do a lot of damage.

I'm a hunter but not very sporting to have dogs chase a cub bear up a tree and keep it cornered while you take your time shooting it as it clings for dear life, nice shot?? I don't give a crap if he brings the gun to games, I doubt he'll shoot anyone unless they climb a tree and sit still.
