You pick it because the hotel itself is safe, and it's a close drive to downtown and the stadium for a good price.
I guess if you want to "go out" in Germantown, this isn't your place. We'd rather be downtown at night, and this was the best option left. Again, to each his own.
By the way, it's also one of the 12 recommended hotels listed on the Liberty Bowl website. Just noticed that you can get a refundable rate of $84 through that site if anyone else is still looking. Hope to see some more Cyclones there.

The area is fine, stayed there for work several times...dont let some of the know-it-all morons on the board get to you.

Thinking maybe Germantown? But how far is that from Beale Street and what not? Driving wise anyways, I'm not sure how easy it is to get around Memphis or traffic. Thanks See if there is anything in Southhaven ms. There are all sorts of hotels just off I55 and right across the state line. Pretty sure the second hotel that Adam booked for the CF bus trip was the Hilton Garden Inn in Southhaven.
They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there. -
Re: Are there any hotels left in Memphis?
We are staying at the Drury Inn in Horn Lake, MS. About 20 minutes from the Liberty Bowl and 25 minutes to Beale Street and under $100 a night.

Thanks Germantown, Collierville, and Bartlett are all suburbs east of Memphis and all are about the same distance from the stadium and Beale. You're looking at about a 15-20 minute drive to the stadium. Beale is 5-10 minutes west of the Liberty Bowl. You could also look into staying in Mississippi. Tunica is a great casino town (Sugarland's song Down in Mississippi is aboutit) if gambling is more your thing than bar hopping.
