"He is the toughest I have ever been around, physically and mentally," Burnham said. "You can beat him down but you’re not going to beat him out. He’s got the mindset of, ‘If you’re going to get me out of this game, you’re going to have to kill me.’ That’s about where he is."

ISU finished #36 this year in average attendance

Love the pic of the stadium that was Chizzed.
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr -

Ours can't grow much more without expansion, which is a good thing for us.

I find it hard believe we averaged that high of attendance since that is near capacity for us and the West Virginia game looked so empty due to the students being gone for thanksgiving. All the same this is wonderful news for cyclone fans!

Doesn't surprise me that attendance is down overall. It costs too much money to even go as a family anymore.
Why anyone even goes to NFL games is beyond me. Waste of time and money.
I could see a day where people basically say.... screw it.... I'll watch on TV. Already happens in MLB. Those stadiums aren't even half full most games.

I'm with you there clonedude,Roy Kramer, who came up with the BCS system has stated he's very concerned that college football will become like the pro's with more empty seats at stadiums and more people staying home to watch the games on t.v.. But after all, that's what all this conference realignment is about anyway,it's about the people staying at home to watch and not fannies in the stands.

#36 in the nation in attendance....
I'll take it! If and when we expand...I would think a good immediate goal would be 60k and that would put us near the top 25. Aways away but good to have goals and I'm sure J.P. already has a plan and a path.

It costs little to go to an ISU game compared to most other sporting event. You can get hillsides pretty cheap for a lot of games which is changing (this is good) but compared to a lot of places, ISU is is inexpensive, especially if you live close.

ISU games are expensive IMO, and they are probably one of the cheapest tickets in the nation.
For me to take my family of 4 to a Cyclone football game, the tickets alone would probably run me at least $100, and that's sitting on grass. Not to mention a full tank of gas to get there and back home.... another $50. Then... you need to either eat out somewhere, tailgate, or buy food in the stadium.... so that's probably another $50.
So it's a minimum of $200 for me to take my family to a football game. No thanks. I do it once every couple years or so and that's enough for me. It's just not worth it IMO.
